We're glad that you enjoyed your stay in general, but were concerned to hear that you felt cleanliness was lacking.
The hostel have a inside Bar with snooker, great atmosphere to meet people over the world. The TIES line is San Mateo County’s 24-hour information and emergency response line.It helps seniors, people with disabilities, dependent adults, and caregivers access the services they need to keep them safe.I was skeptical about staying...based on the reviews. From the outside it dosnt look very appealing especially with the rocky road leading to the hotel. The staff was incredible the 2 main guys who helped us were Luis and Jason. The rooms does need a face lift but it's all worth it with the view! The food taste really good (a bit overpriced) but overall great! Like I said the hotel could use a renovation but the location is well worth it!Just strolled in, turned on the light and started chatting away giving the new guests the run down of the hostel like there wasn't 4 people asleep in the room. Good evening, and thank you for your review of Pirwa San Blas.
We regret that your night was interrupted by the receptionist bringing in new guests- we will ask him to be more considerate of those guests already sleeping in the shared dorms in the event that we receive other guests arriving at late or early hours. Stayed for two nights before and after a trek to Machu Picchu.
Also since it's located at San Blas neighborhood i got to visit many places I normally wouldn't have visited by my own, like San Blas Market among others.
It's a hostel but to be honest is a budget hotel.
No views - as the window overlooks inner patio (at least in our room). Breakfast is indeed basic (local bread, butter, jam, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee, and tea), but we think it is good for travelers on a budget.
We're also glad that you liked the room despite the... There is always a great and lively atmosphere, with big secure lockers, individual sockets by the bedside and good wifi. The rooms are clean, and it was easy to meeting other travellers especially if you are travelling solo like me. If you want to stay nearby the historic center, plus having some calm at nights this place is perfect for you; located in San Blas Neighborhood it offers a decent place to past the night, but the environment is more oriented to families or people who dont really look for meeting new people.
Whether you’re chatting up the bartender to find out about the best local hot spots or exchanging stories with fellow travelers, the bar scene is one way to get the insider’s scoop of the city.
